Silent Fury is DOING SOMETHING. The band, described as “One of the best rock bands in Central New York”, has been touring tirelessly from Texas to Maine, leaving screaming fans in their wake and opening for acts like Afroman, Vertical Horizon, the Spin Doctors, Warrant and Vince Neil. Just returned from their 40date “Takin’ Back America Tour,” the band continues to pick up speed. In addition to delivering electrifying live shows, the band has logged in serious time in the studio. Their latest CD, “Sunday Stilettos” moved one critic to gush “Nickelback meets the White Stripes. Yeah, they’re that good!”. Having worked with the producer of John Brown’s Body on the album, its no surprise that their rural metal sound could have such an effect. The band is headed by vocalist and lead guitarist Mick Fury, a Syracuse based musician who has been recording and performing for almost a decade, and whose music has been nominated for the Grammy music award in the Syracuse area. Surrounded by Plattsburgh, NY native Alex Elmendorf on bass, and Parish, NY’s own “Wildman” on drums, Mick’s growth as a songwriter is evident on the “Sunday Stilettos” track “Kick Down My Door” where Fury details the ever present battle between love and lust. Whether it be in their videos, songs or shows, Silent Fury continues to bring what the fans want, rock.
Just as a reminder, the Jackie Greene show scheduled for February 19th, 2013 has been cancelled.
