Sister Sparrow and The Dirty Birds:
Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds is an eight piece powerhouse that puts a modern spin on classic soul. The band is led by Arleigh Kincheloe (Sister Sparrow), whose astoundingly powerful voice and sly demeanor make for a spellbinding presence onstage. She is backed by the mighty force of The Dirty Birds, a flock of seven men who masterfully lay down thundering grooves and soaring melodies. While each of the Birds are capable of lighting up the stage with jaw dropping displays of musicianship, it’s clear they’re focused on delivering the band’s infectious music as a single entity. Simply put, the band’s live show is explosive.
Last Daze is a rock and roll band that was assembled in the Adirondack Mountains of New York, and forged in a non- disclosed recording studio, rumored to be in the vicinity of Echo Park, Los Angeles.
The band is fronted by songwriter Katy Cole, who uses her life experiences as well as the experiences of others to channel the unusual and beautiful sounds that make up the heart of Last Daze. Cole joined forces with guitarist, Chris Schempp in search for the raw, electric sound that comes out of his Gibson guitar. His soaring guitar lines take the band to a level known only as “Planet Schempp”.
Brian Zink is the newest addition to Last Daze, hailing from Colonie, NY. His drum kit has survived hellfire and brimstone, only to be unleashed on your ears and felt through your veins. Answering a craigslist ad from 120 miles away, Mick Changelo came to be an essential member of Last Daze. Michael (Mick) Changelo was hatched on another planet and sent here as an emissary. As an aside, he happens to play low-toned stringed instruments fairly well.
With all the pieces complete, the band flew to Los Angeles in March of 2014 to record their debut album, “Symbols & Snares” with producer, Shooter Jennings. The product that came out of that studio in LA defies genre boundaries. The songs speak from the heart, and take you on a journey that you will want to relive over and over again.
MoChester is a 4-piece rock/pop driven band from Rochester, NY. The band's name is actually a fusion of the city it started in and Motown, one of its original influences. The members of MoChester consists of Brandon Sheffer on lead vocals and guitar, Jonathan Sheffer on keys, guitar and backup vocals, Ben Overmyer on bass guitar, and Alex Melville on drums. The band was formed in 2001, but is facing a fresh start in 2011 with the addition of Overmyer, and the release of their debut album Stop and Go.
MoChester has played at many well-known venues and events in Rochester, such as the Finger Lakes Racetrack and Casino, the Main Street Armory, the Water Street Music Hall, the Party in the Park Summer Concert Series, and the East End Festival. They have performed away from home as well, playing shows in the Syracuse and Buffalo regions, and even in Los Angeles, CA. They hope to continue building their fan base locally, and strive to continually expand and reach more people outside of the area as well.
