Willie Nile: The New York Times called Willie Nile "one of the most gifted singer-songwriters to emerge from the New York scene in years." His album “Streets Of New York” was hailed as “a platter for the ages” by UNCUT magazine. Rolling Stone listed “The Innocent Ones” as one of the “Top Ten Best Under-The-Radar Albums of 2011” and BBC Radio called it “THE rock ‘n’ roll album of the year.” His single from that album, “One Guitar,” was the “Top Pick of the Week” in USA Today. “The Innocent Ones” was chosen Rock Album of the Year by the Independent Music Awards.

Bruce Springsteen, Pete Townshend, Bono, Lou Reed, Lucinda Williams, Jim Jarmusch, Adam Duritz and Little Steven are among those who have sung his praises.

His new studio album, “American Ride,” debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers/Top New Artist Album chart. It appeared on dozens of year-end Top Ten lists for 2013 and was voted “Album Of The Year” at Twangville Magazine. Bono called it, “One of the great guides to unraveling the mystery that is the troubled beauty of America.” Music fans from around the world chose “American Ride” Rock Album of the Year in the 2014 Independent Music Awards public vote. This is his time!

Willie has toured across the U.S. with The Who and has sung with Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band numerous times. His live performances are legendary and he is cur- rently touring across the U.S. and Europe to support the new album.

J. Schnitt: Prolific, multi-faceted songwriter that floors his audiences with subtle, startling, and often stark phrasing, alternately mixing straightforward honesty with abstract imagery and complex interpretations. An enigmatic performer who's songwriting prowess and unique stage presence cannot be missed."

Part poet, part folk singer, part indie-rocker, and part mad-scientist, j. schnitt is a fearless, inventive, and "one of the most uniquely creative" singer/songwriters in the independent music world today.  His music is a combination of dust-bowl folk, indie-rock, singer-songwriter, and poetry. With  nods toward Woody Guthrie, Nick Drake, and Bob Dylan, he still maintains a singular and unique style.

On stage, he stands alone, with an instrument and a voice, un-assuming and honest, allowing the songs themselves be the focus, and when it comes to J. Schnitt, its all about the songs.
On record, J. Schnitt remains fearless and adventurous, even over the course of 16 albums. Always willing to push the limits of "americana" music, and never settling in one place for very long.

A talented multi-instrumentalist, j. schnitt has independently released 16 solo albums, the latest bieng the 14-track album "War Tubas" which was released in 2013 receiving rave reviews.  He has two full length albums scheduled to be released in 2015.  The records are entirely performed, written, and produced by j. schnitt.  He has also released 4 records with the seminal  central NY alt-country band The Rueben James, as well as one record with pyschadelic garage band The Real Burnouts.

He has shared the stage with such artists as Peter Mulvey, Martin Sexton, Jackie Greene, Ryan Montbleu Band, Howie Day, Diane Cluck, and Ember Swift, and has performed on such prestigous stages as the Stanley Theater, the Westcott Theater, Finius Events Barn at Hamilton College, the Nelson Odeon, the Electric Co.,the Utica Music and Arts Fest, Kirkland Arts Center,  and Munson Williams Museum of Art.   He has toured extensively throughout the NorthEast U.S., as well as Ireland and Eastern Europe, making fans wherever he goes.

J. schnitt is also currently at work with his band The Archipelagos, featuring former members of The Rueben James and Modus.  They are currently working on their first album as well as other projects.  Some of his many and ever changing side projects include playing lead guitar with The Real Burnouts and piano and accordian with folk rock band The Neon Marias.
